Comet Design - 3-Wing or 4-Wing Models IRD's Comet design allows maximum use of glass to harmonize with modern architectural designs.  The removal of the inside and outside stiles on each wing accentuates the smooth, clean look of the door. Bottom rail sightlines on the Comet design door are 4 11/16 inches for aluminum and 4 3/4 inches for bronze and stainless steel. The wing glass is one-half inch tempered float plate.
