The following are common questions asked by our customers.

Question 1
Why is a wing collapsing too easily?

Answer: It is important to check the hanger guide pins and plungers on a regular basis. The most common cause of this problem is worn guide pins and/or plungers.

Question 2
Why has the door become extremely hard to push?

Answer: The most common cause is a worn speed control. You can also check the floor pivot if it has an overhead speed control.

Question 3
The top portion of the centershaft is loose and causing the door to wobble. What could be causing this problem?

Answer: If the door has a floor speed control, you probably need to check the top pivot, and replace the bushing. An overhead speed control, the vibration mounts may need to be replaced. You should also check to make sure the speed control is anchored properly. Occasionally the centershaft will become sheered, and will cause the same type of symptom.

Question 4

How often should weatherstrip be replaced?

Answer: To obtain a thorough seal, weatherstrip should be replaced annually. This also insures proper operation of the door.
